I am a trauma and attachment informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a specialization in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. With thousands upon thousands of hours invested in gathering knowledge, training, and experience, I've emerged as a trusted professional known for my expertise in helping clients reclaim their lives from the all consuming nature of these disorders.
Drawing from my own lived experience with OCD and anxiety, I've dedicated a significant portion of my career to understanding and tackling the complexities of these conditions, recognizing firsthand on both a personal and professional level the profound impact it has on the lives of those who suffer. As a true specialist, I have crafted my skills in evidence-based and complimentary treatments that have proven over and over again to be effective in managing OCD and anxiety.
What sets me apart is my openness to new modalities that have surfaced in the field, rejecting the one-size-fits-all approach. My training as a Certified Neuropsychotherapist enables me to share simple, bite-size explanations of the underpinnings of OCD and anxiety disorders that inform cutting edge therapeutic approaches and interventions based in neuroscience. Ready with this knowledge, I encounter each client with empathy and tailor a treatment plan to suit their needs and goals. This personalized approach has yielded remarkable results, empowering clients to break free from the tight and suffocating grip of their symptoms.
As a compassionate and neuroaffirming clinician, I maintain an unwavering commitment to my clients' well-being, fostering a safe and nonjudgmental space where they can openly discuss their struggles and work collaboratively towards overcoming the challenges of OCD and anxiety. With me as your therapist, you can count on a caring and supportive companion who equips you to reduce limiting thought and behavior patterns and gain momentum toward a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
Learned everything I possibly could when OCD hit my son hard and started making more and more connections about my own OCD journey.
Graduated from school and went to work in a hospital setting and then a group practice.
Opened my private practice, so I could focus on helping clients with anxiety and OCD feel better.
Knew I wanted to be a people helper and started noticing some of my own OCD "tendencies."
When I say I've been there,
I'm not kidding. I mean it.
